My Photography Journey
falling in love with art
I’ve been obsessed with art since I was a kid. My first camera was a little film point-and-shoot at age 10, and I immediately started documenting my backyard and neighbourhood. Fast forward a few years: I saved up for a DSLR, joined my high school’s photography program, and dove into learning everything—from shooting in manual to developing film in the darkroom. After watching a documentary on Annie Leibovitz, I knew photography was what I wanted to do as a career. By graduation, I won the Henry’s Photography Award, and that was just the beginning. Though I took a couple of classes in high school, I’m mostly self-taught, which has allowed me to experiment, grow, and develop my own unique style. Over the past 10 years, I’ve upgraded my gear (a couple of times), been published, traveled for work, and met some amazing clients.

I've only been to 7 countries outside of Canada and I can't wait to grow this number! I will travel for work, so feel free to reach out if you're planning a destination wedding or elopement.

An infinite amount of tea has been consumed. If you know me, you know I'm a tea addict and it is my beverage of choice that has gotten me through countless late nights of editing.

I currently own 9 different cameras, and I am working on incorporating a film add-on to my collections using my 35mm and Polaroid cameras- Stay tuned for some exciting changes!
What is a session like with me
an introverts approach
As an introvert who sometimes struggles with anxiety, I’ve often felt a bit out of step with the outgoing, bubbly photographers I see online. While I admire their confidence, I’ve come to appreciate that introverted photographers bring something equally valuable to the table.
My clients often tell me that I have a the ability to help them feel at ease quickly, and that’s something I take pride in. I get it—being in front of a camera can feel awkward. That’s why I focus on creating a relaxed, natural atmosphere with prompts instead of stiff poses. With a calm approach, patience, and an eye for detail, my goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and leave with photos you love and want to revisit for years to come.
For your session, I’ll suggest locations that turn the shoot into more of an experience than just a photo opportunity. I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s a hidden spot in the woods, a rooftop in the city, or something totally unique. I’m not afraid to get my feet wet or climb over rocks to capture that perfect shot. Whether you’re into urban vibes or prefer something cozy and rustic, I’m ready to explore with you and make it happen.
